Haringey People First hold up the RED CARD to the Council

Haringey People First and LDBP members show the ‘red card’ to Social care budget cuts

SASH was invited to speak at the Adults & Health scrutiny committee on Thursday 22 January.

Members of the Learning Disabilities Partnership Board (LDPB) and Haringey People First advocacy group who are themselves recipients of care in the borough were amongst those lobbying the committee outside the Haringey Civic Centre yesterday – they held up the ‘red card’ to planned cuts to Haringey’s social care budget. The committee met to look at the proposed cuts – details of the SASH representations made to the assembled councillors can be found here.

The individual representations to Haringey’s consultation process from LDPB and People First members and supporters below, plus much more information on SASH’s campaign, can be found in our RESOURCES section.
